Ron Arad adviser to Kosova Pavilion

Ron Arad, one of the most influential designers of our time, has been appointed special adviser of Kosova’s Pavilion for the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale.  The decision for his selection was made by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi.

Ron Arad will work and act as a special adviser to the exhibition, advising the soon to be chosen curator(s) of the Kosova Pavilion at every stage.

Born in Tel Aviv, he moved to London in 1973 to study architecture and made his name in the early 1980s as a self-taught designer-maker of sculptural furniture. He now works across both design and architecture. Consistently inventive and challenging, Ron Arad has studiously avoided categorization by curators and critics throughout his career.

The 14th International Architecture Exhibition, directed by Rem Koolhaas, will be held from June 7 to November 23, 2014.
