ONUP Magazine is an independent magazine about architecture, interiors, design and urbanism. We are based in Kosovo, with an eye on what is happening here and a curiosity for what is being built elsewhere.
ONUP started in 2009 by looking closely at Kosovo: its buildings, its streets and the ways its cities were changing. That is still where we begin. A house, a public square or a small interior can tell us a great deal about a place. We want to give those projects space, and get to know the people and decisions behind them.
A good photograph may catch our attention, but it is rarely the whole story. How does a building sit in its neighbourhood? What is it like to spend time there? What does it change for the people who use it? These are the questions that keep us interested, whether we are sharing a project from Kosovo or discovering one further away.
