Discover The New Louis Vuitton Store in Séoul

On the hights of Cheongdam-dong avenue, in Séoul, South Korea, the new Louis Vuitton store is full of contemporary and traditional inspiration. Seen as a reference to the Korean culture, art and creativity are honored.

The curved glass facade from Franck Gehry is similar to the Louis Vuitton fondation of Paris from the same architect but is also inspired by the Hwaseong fortress built in the 18th century.

On the 30th of October 2019, the inauguration of the store in Séoul allowed few privileged to discover in preview the 5 floors imagined and scenographed by Peter Marino.

The architect has relied on volumes and on the correlation between fashion, art, culture and design. The different collections of the brand merge with some art works selected by Peter Marino himself : paints from Brendan Smith or from Harmony Hammond for example. At the last floor, a space is devoted to expositions where you can see some art works of Giacometti.
