Prishtina Architecture Week: Day 4
On its fourth day, the Prishtina Architecture week stayed true to the planned schedule, starting with workshops, exhibits, open studios, and closing the day with lectures and screenings.
The Prishtina based architecture company ArchiEdu presented Graphisoft ArchiCad 17 to the audience, showing the program’s new platform and advanced features which make it a more reliable tool for architects to use.
The first lecture was headed by Lulzim Kabashi who introduced to the audience few projects of his Zagreb based firm IVANIŠIN. KABASHI. ARHITEKTI. This research oriented practice of two partners and three fellow architects is active in fields of architectural design and urban planning, one of which was the Centeal Mosque of Prishtina proposal which Kabashi presented to the audience.
Following by the lecture held by Anne Guiney, executive Director of the Institute for Urban Design in New York. She introduced the growing movement of architects, designers, artists, and everyday citizens acting on their own initiative to bring improvements to the urban realm, creating new opportunities and bring important issues to the public.
Closing the day four of PAW with the third project of the Living Architectures series, Pomerol, Herzog & de Meuron took the audience to the party atmosphere of mealtime among the grape-pickers in the dining hall designed by Herzog & de Meuron in Pomerol for one of the most prestigious vineyards in the world.
