SN Architects Pairs a Public Circle with Municipal Offices in Kadikoy
SN Architects places a circular public base beneath a long office block in its proposal for Kad?köy’s municipal building in Istanbul. Süleyman Akka? and Nihal ?enkaya Akka? developed the scheme for the 2025 competition.
The lower level gathers foyers, exhibition space, a café and meeting facilities around landscaped openings. Separate access serves the administration above, balancing everyday public use with controlled office circulation.

Renderings show a low, sweeping roof beside the taller glazed volume. Repeated angled façade elements give the office frontage depth, while the courtyard brings trees and daylight into the base.
The contrast between these two forms makes the programme legible: a place to gather below, with municipal work concentrated overhead.

This is a competition proposal, first published by Arkitera on 12 May 2025. Images are project renderings and drawings attributed to SN Architects; construction is unconfirmed.
