An insomniac photographer explores empty streets at night
Photographer Marcus Wendt has made a series of night photographs in Asian cities including Hong Kong and Seoul.
The images show the cities’ surreal appearance after sunset.
During a trip to Asia, Wendt found himself in a familiar situation: unable to sleep. Instead of tossing and turning in bed, he decided to make use of the sleepless hours and see his surroundings in a different light.
With his camera, he headed into the streets of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Seoul to capture a collection of neon-lit scenes.
