The United Arab Emirates will provide €22 million for a new paediatric surgery hospital within the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo.

The accompanying images show the conceptual design for the hospital, whose construction was scheduled to begin in 2016. Funding for the building and modern medical equipment follows an agreement signed in April between President Atifete Jahjaga and Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak of the United Arab Emirates.

The donation of more than €22 million is intended to improve healthcare for Kosovo’s children.
